LUZERNE COUNTY COURTHOUSE RESTORATION
A+E Group provided all architectural design for the restoration, preservation, and conservation of the interior finishes at the Luzerne County Courthouse. The scope of work included restoration, preservation, and/or conservation to historical architectural finishes including flat plaster, trim, wood, metal, marble, and artwork on canvas and plaster. John Canning Co., Ltd began the restoration work in July of 2017; and construction was completed on schedule in early Spring 2018. The County celebrated the restoration with a grand re-opening ceremony. The project has been featured in the National Trust for Historic Preservation publication released in January 2018, and has been awarded the 2018 Trumbauer Award for Historic Preservation in Fine Art and the 2019 Traditional Building Palladio Award in Craftsmanship.
